Every number has an origin.

How DESK handles its data
- We use sources whose terms allow use in a paid product, or ask the provider for permission. Where neither works, the source is replaced or its data stays out of DESK.
- Provider, unit and year sit in the panel header, not in a footnote.
- Where a source is silent, the gap stays visible instead of being filled with a guess.
- DESK’s own server fetches the data and refreshes it on each source’s own schedule — your browser never talks to a third party.
Named on every panel
You always know whose number you are reading, and for which year.
Public institutions first
World Bank, OECD, Eurostat, central banks and UN agencies come before anything else.
Licences checked
Every provider is reviewed for commercial use; where a question is open, we settle it with the provider directly.
